Ding Dong Dom – Theater of the Future
Ding Dong Dom – Theatre of the Future
What is breaking into a theater compared to building one?
Together with artist and architect Martin Kaltwasser, Showcase Beat Le Mot build a space from found wood from Berlin's building sites. A place that let‘s the sun in. It's called "DingDong" because that's the song the munchkins sing after Dorothy's house fell out of the rotating motion of a tornado and landed directly on the evil witch of the west. And "Dom" is the Eastern European word for home. The DingDongDom is the first theater that allows a completely unmetaphorical look outside. To where real life takes place. For real!
